It took a bit of time, but I finally managed to kick of my season. As yet haven’t had a chance to fish with the other BAD anglers yet. So I managed to fill the time with a couple of outings down to Markle, with my nephews. We did really well. Liam bagged up with three rainbows on the Friday, and on Easter Monday, Ryan did well with a couple of crackers. Auld uncle Bob did not do too bad either, with five fish over the two trips including a nice one for 5lbs. Looking back on it Markle was probably the best place to kick off the season for the boys. Plenty of space for casting, and as we proved a good chance of some very nice fish. Can’t speak highly enough of the place if you’ve got youngsters that you want to learn how to fish, then take a trundle down to Markle smashing lay out, and very helpful staff.
