Its been over a month since we updated the site, but if you check the pictures you can see that as far as the weather is concerned there hasn’t exactly been any improvements.
These pictures were snapped at 2.00 p.m. on Saturday 5/7/08. The rain hadn’t really got started at that point, but the wind was pretty fierce. We motored up to the dam end of Cobbinshaw, then the rain really started! It didn’t really stop all afternoon and evening. By which time we had to bail one of the boats. That said, from time to time the number of fish showing was epic. It took some time to figure out what they were taking, but eventually someone shouted that claret hoppers were worth trying. Never looked back after that. Either turning fish, striking to early, or for most of us hooking fish. However one of us blanked (and for a change it wasn’t the editor, ya beauty, the bogies finally lifted!!).
Hope to see you on the bank somewhere!
All the best from the BAD Anglers
